8/21/10 Picture Day
My grandma had the idea to get all of the girls in the family to take a picture together like we did back in 1997*(all of us wearing overalls and the same red shirt). This time, however, we chose our own turquoise shirt to wear. Because I am stylishly challenged, I was not able to find anything that I liked (except t shirts and strapless tops). Luckily my "New friend" Kelly-who will remain my new friend until I make another friend-loaned me the shirt I wore. I loved it and wanted to accidentally sneak it into my suitcase.
This was the first time we had seen kealyn after she went to college and then spent the summer in Central America, so that was fun but too short. Brooklyn was just like I immagine any child to be when it's time to take photos, emotional. I loved the high pitch tongue trill the photographer used that seemed to have no effect on her. Of course fishies did have the desired effect and after the snacks were brought out, the session went much more smoothly.
Grandma bought all of us lunch at Nordstroms, and then she, Kaelyn and I went to Forever 21. I tried to convince her to try on some of the outfits. Maybe next time.
By the way, don't take pictures with your own camera in the JC Penny photography studio unless you want to get in trouble...
