San Jose-Too Much Gallo Pinto

On our first day in San Jose, Costa Rica, we searched out a restaurant that served "comida tipica" for breakfast, eggs and gallo pinto (rice mixed with beans). We found what we were looking for at a corner cafe popular with the Ticos. Jason had his first cup of Costa Rican Coffee and, of course, I had a Coke. Cindy has been converted to coffee, so this was the first time out of the country that she didn't have to search for Coke Lite.

The taste of the breakfast brought back old memories of eating this exact same meal with Shae years ago. Nostalgic and delicious. The eggs with gallo pinto were perfect. Then, we had eggs with gallo pinto again the next morning. Then again the next morning day. And the next...
















Costa Rica=Narnia. They put posts in the ground to make fences and out grow trees.
