Monteverde-Juan Carlos
We took a tour on the hanging bridges in Monteverde. After paying extra for a tour guide, we met Juan Carlos. He knew quite a bit about birds, including how to make the sounds of different ones. So much that in the middle of informing us about one bird, he would stop talking and start on another bird. Yet, He didn't find many other animals to point out to us.
One of the animals other than birds that he did see was a butterfly. As he tried to show us, we all strained our eyes to see what he was pointing to. "There it is. Can't you see it? No? That's because it's an invisible butterfly." That made us laugh wondering how many other "invisible" animals he was going to show us, "There it is. Can't you see it? No? That's because it's an invisible monkey."
At the end of out tour, we actually saw the invisible butterfly. It was delightful.
